Equipment Engineer

Job Description

The Equipment Engineer will develop and provide support for manufacturing equipment related to membrane casting operations and hollow fiber filter production.  The work is in a fast paced, high growth environment, with complex and fluid project attributes.

Strong interpersonal skills are needed to work effectively with management, suppliers, and contractors. The candidate must possess the ability to collaborate with others and be able to conduct technical discussions concerning projects and/or schedules.



  • Develop and/or modifying existing equipment, tools, and fixtures, taking into consideration cost, available space, time limitations, regulatory requirements, and other technical factors.

  • Install fixtures, machinery, and equipment according to specifications/directions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment related issues with minimal down time.

  • Draft detailed part and assembly drawings using SolidWorks and DraftSight.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on Equipment Qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ).

  • Work with Maintenance Staff to develop Preventive Maintenance Program.



  • 2-5 years of Equipment Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

  • Understanding of engineering fundamentals and electro-mechanical systems is required.

  • BS in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering is preferred.

  • Must be proficient with Mechanical Design, Machining, and Sheetmetal Forming processes.

  • Must be adept at using hand and power tools.

  • Must lead by example and possess a high sense of personal integrity and accountability.

  • Must possess high bandwidth and be able to fill multiple roles, as needed.

  • Must be proficient with SolidWorks/DraftSight, MS Office, and electronic file management.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
